Bishop of Urgell Josep-Lluís Serrano Pentinat, Andorra's Episcopal co-prince, issued his first Easter message since taking office, addressing the faithful from the cloister of the Episcopal Palace in La Seu d'Urgell. The video, shared on the Diocese of Urgell's YouTube channel, describes Easter as the greatest mystery in Christianity, a celebration of renewal, liberation, and new life.

Serrano presented the feast through several lenses: the "Easter of Creation," marking the shift from darkness to light; the "Easter of the people of Israel," representing escape from slavery toward freedom; and above all, the "Easter of Christ," encompassing his suffering, death, and resurrection as the source of new life for believers. "We pass from death to life," he said, framing Christian existence as a journey to spiritual fullness and eternity.

He urged the faithful to embrace the Easter season with commitment, becoming "men and women of Easter" by spreading life, hope, and the resurrection's spirit in everyday settings such as family, work, and school. The Church of Urgell, he added, must grow by fostering new life through the risen Christ.

Serrano thanked priests, catechists, and active parishioners for their contributions, asking for the community's prayers and support. He extended an invitation to the diocesan day on 1 May at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Núria, a family-oriented event where infants preparing for first Communion in May and June will be presented to the patron saint.
