Jambo Festival Unveils Lineup for 13th Edition with Record 17 Andorran Acts

Andorra la Vella officials and organizers have unveiled the lineup for the 13th Jambo festival, set for June 18 to 20, 2026, in the Historic Centre. The free event will host a record 17 Andorran acts—required to feature original material from a disc released in the past year—alongside international performers across six stages, with daytime shows wrapping up at midnight to suit families.

Cònsol Menor Olalla Losada, Tourism and Commerce Minister Jordi Torres, and organizers Toni Colom and Oriol Vilella highlighted the festival's push for local music growth and summer tourism diversification. Key stages are Plaça Guillemó and Plaça del Poble as main venues, Meritxell Avenue 10 car park for Jazz Messengers, Plaça del Consell, Placeta Sant Esteve, Cap de Carrer, and La Vinyeta. Plaça Monjó is out this year, with fewer DJ interludes to emphasize live acts and direct artist-audience encounters.

Local standouts include Quim Salvat's EP *Des de zero*, Four Flags' *Beginnings*, Odara Trio's 10th anniversary, and Komanem's 20th. Emerging acts feature Marta's (Marta Argemí) indie sound, Electrix's technopop, Eugènia Correia's local-international blend backed by Portugal's consulate, Souled Out's soul revival from Old School with horns, Sara Núñez (Ese), Isolda, Kic Barroc, El tren de la música, and Bluetonics. Esbarts return after two years, blending traditional dance with contemporary music.

International acts comprise Texas country rockers Vandoliers on European tour, Barcelona psycho funk outfit Ypnosi (promoted from last year's smaller stage), Cuban salsa performer Joao del Monte, New York jazz fusion ensemble Hold My Pocket, Portuguese flamenco pop-rock group Juventude, French Victoires de la Musique 2025 nominee Mansire, Nati Peluso's Latin backing band Compota de Manana, Catalan flamenco-latin Maruja Limón, and sax-guitar duo Arar.

Vilella stressed selecting "emerging groups on the verge of takeoff" for quality over big names, aiming to create new fans. Losada described Jambo as a festival of discovery for Andorran and international talents in unique street settings. Torres noted its role in shifting focus from sports events to culture as a tourism draw.

Supported by a €170,000 to €173,000 budget from public entities like Andorra Turisme and over 20 local firms, the event will involve more than 250 Andorran artists. Additional offerings include open jam sessions and children's performances.

Since its 2013 debut as a Red Music offshoot, Jambo has expanded Andorra's music landscape: from 12 mostly cover bands to about 60 with over 80% originals, and three music schools with 400 students to seven with 1,200.
