Andorra's Parishes Buzz with Christmas Concerts, Shows and Workshops Today

Andorra's parishes are filled with Christmas events today, including concerts, theatre, workshops and family activities across Canillo, Ordino, La Massana, Encamp, Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra la Vella and more.

A standout choral concert features the Coral Sant Miquel d’Encamp and Coral Sant Antoni de la Massana at 12.30pm in Encamp's Església de Santa Eulàlia, bringing emotional harmonies to celebrate the season.

In Escaldes-Engordany, the musical show "El circ de les joguines" by Dandream Films&Shows offers a journey into a world of captivating melodies, magical characters and video projections. Sessions run at 11am and 12.45pm at Espai Escènic La Feréstec, with an additional performance at 5pm. The Coral d’Escaldes-Engordany hosts a traditional carol sing-along at Església de Sant Pere Màrtir. Children's storytelling "L’hivern és màgic" by Jèssica Casal takes place from 11.30am to 5pm at the communal library's Espai Petits Lectors for ages four and up. Workshops at Hotel Roc Blanc include Latin dance rhythms—bachata, cha-cha-cha, merengue and salsa—from 10.30am to noon, plus "Dança Viva," an expressive movement class led by Evangelina Constable from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Canillo kicks off with a trip to the Tolosa Christmas market from 7am to 8pm, organised by the comú. At 6pm in the Canillo Brilla parking lot at Sella, Neus Mar performs traditional and modern carols, alongside Antònies Darknes delivering acoustic folk-pop covers and originals with warm melodies. The Espai Galobardes—or Museu de la Moto—hosts the exhibition "Dibuixos amb tinta i canya" by artist Galobardes, featuring personal takes on Andorran Romanesque art using Chinese ink and wooden reeds, running until December 31.

Ordino has family storytelling "L’estel de Nadal al país dels contes" by Una Maleta de Contes at 5pm in Plaça del Prat del Call, followed by The Minstrels' gospel concert at 8pm in the parish church, with coca and moscatell.

La Massana evenings include Puccini's "La Bohème" at 8.30pm in Teatre de les Fontetes, depicting bohemian artists in 19th-century Paris chasing dreams amid hardship. The Coral Sant Antoni leads a traditional carol sing-along at 8.30pm in Església parroquial de Sant Iscle i Santa Victòria. The Museu del Còmic shows "Solo" by Oscar Martin, tracing a heroic character from a Tom and Jerry illustrator, until January 16.

Andorra la Vella hosts the 8th "Cursa el Petit Santa Claus" at 4.30pm from Estadi Comunal, ending with the tió de Nadal tradition in Plaça del Poble. At 9.30pm, Iván Campillo's comedy "¿Buscas parella? Speed dating" runs at Centre de Congressos, following a couple navigating dating apps.

In Sant Julià de Lòria, babies aged one to three can try "El fang que somiava formes," a clay modelling session exploring textures, at 10.30am in Escola d’Art.

Other exhibitions include "Ciutats a escala humana" at Bici Lab Andorra in Andorra la Vella; "Del néixer al renéixer. Vivències a l’antic Egipte" with Barcelona Egyptian Museum pieces at CEE until February 21; "Pioners 1884-1954. L’Andorra dels primers fotògrafs" from government archives until March 7; and "El Londres de Virginia Woolf" illustrations by Arnau Sánchez Campamà at La Massana's communal library.
