Andorra Parishes Packed with Christmas Events Today

Andorra's parishes host a packed lineup of Christmas events today, blending music, theatre, family activities and workshops across multiple locations.

In Canillo, the day's highlight is Antònies Darknes at 6pm in the Canillo Brilla parking lot at Sella, offering an acoustic and folk repertoire of pop-rock covers and original songs filled with warm, emotional melodies. At 6pm there, Neus Mar will also perform traditional and contemporary Christmas carols. The Espai Galobardes features the exhibition "Dibuixos amb tinta i canya," where artist Galobardes presents personal interpretations of Andorran Romanesque art using Chinese ink and wooden reeds.

Ordino offers family-friendly options, including the storytelling session "L’estel de Nadal al país dels contes" by Una Maleta de Contes at 5pm in Plaça del Prat del Call. At 8pm, The Minstrels deliver a gospel concert at the parish church, followed by coca and moscatell.

La Massana's evening includes Puccini's opera "La Bohème" at 8.30pm in Teatre de les Fontetes, set in 19th-century bohemian Paris where artist friends struggle to survive while dreaming of a brighter future. At the same time, the Coral Sant Antoni leads a traditional carol sing-along at the parish church of Sant Iscle i Santa Victòria.

Escaldes-Engordany buzzes with activity: "El circ de les joguines," a musical show with captivating melodies, magical characters and video projections by Dandream Films&Shows, starts at 5pm at Espai Escènic La Feréstec. The Coral d’Escaldes-Engordany holds a traditional Christmas concert at Església de Sant Pere Màrtir. Workshops at Hotel Roc Blanc include an introduction to Latin rhythms—bachata, cha-cha-cha, merengue and salsa—from 10.30am to noon, and "Dança Viva," an expressive conscious movement session with Evangelina Constable from 6.30pm to 8pm. For children from age four, "L’hivern és màgic," a storytelling session by Jèssica Casal, runs from 11.30am to 5pm at the communal library.

Andorra la Vella features the 8th "Cursa el Petit Santa Claus" at 4.30pm from Estadi Comunal, followed by the tió de Nadal tradition in Plaça del Poble. At 9.30pm, the comedy "¿Buscas parella? Speed dating" by Iván Campillo plays at the Centre de Congressos, following Sara and Carlos on a journey through dating apps.

Canillo residents can join a trip to the Tolosa Christmas market from 7am to 8pm. In Sant Julià de Lòria, babies aged one to three enjoy "El fang que somiava formes," a clay modelling activity at 10.30am at Escola d’Art.
