The Andorran documentary *Boris Skossyreff, l’estafador que va ser rei*, directed by Jorge Cebrián, will air on Catalonia's TV3 channel on Tuesday, January 27, at 10:05pm in the *Sense Ficció* programme.

This entirely Andorran production, supported by government film funding in 2023, moves to public television following its run on platforms such as Filmin and appearances at multiple film festivals. It builds on an eponymous book released last September, drawing from over a decade of research that examined European archives, family accounts, and close to 6,000 documents.

The film recounts the exploits of Boris Skossyreff, the man who proclaimed himself King of Andorra during the summer of 1934. His brief episode in Andorran history wove together political maneuvering, fraud, charm, and a publicity campaign that captured headlines around the world.

Cebrián portrays the figure without romanticizing him, balancing his evident charisma and drive against a more shadowy character. "Boris Skossyreff is an absolutely extraordinary character, with a life full of excesses, intrigues, and mysteries, impossible to sugarcoat, but fascinating for his audacity and ingenuity," the director noted.

Following the broadcast, the documentary will become available for free on-demand viewing on the 3cat.cat platform.
