The Fundació Privada Nostra Senyora de Meritxell (FPNSM) and the Carmen Thyssen Andorra Museum have opened a commemorative exhibition marking the 10th anniversary of the foundation’s graphic art contest, held to coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The show brings together the winning designs from each edition, reproduced on the project’s commemorative mugs, and will remain on view at the museum until 4 January 2026.
Organisers presented the 2025 winning design by Esther Coma, who is served by the Xeridell occupational service. Her artwork is featured on this year’s commemorative mug, which is on sale at the museum for €8; reservations can be made through i&i Serveis by emailing ilu@fprivadameritxell.ad.
The inauguration was attended by representatives of collaborating organisations, including Raquel Guàrdia, head of the Area for the Promotion of Personal Autonomy at the Ministry of Social Affairs; Dolors Martínez, director of the FPNSM’s Sociolaboural Area; Martí Pons and Charline Bony from the Carmen Thyssen Andorra Museum; Carme Solà of AUFARE; and members of the FPNSM and other partners.
Launched in 2016, the contest aims to raise awareness and promote respect for people with disabilities by widening cultural participation and fostering inclusion through art. In parallel with the exhibition, the museum hosted a craft workshop for representatives of the collaborating organisations focused on reinterpreting portraits inspired by the work and techniques of Modest Cuixart — the fourth such workshop organised in connection with the contest.
