Key Points
- Elisabet Terri's film on Catalan band Els de Sau has finished principal photography across Catalonia and Andorra, now advancing through post-production with a potential release soon.
The film *Els de Sau*, directed by Elisabet Terri, wrapped principal photography in November and is now focused on post-production, primarily editing. The project traces the career of the iconic Catalan band fronted by Carles Sabater, with filming across sites in Catalonia and Andorra—locations linked to the group's history.
Producers emphasized the production's economic benefits for Andorra, describing it as a "significant investment" in the Principality. The one-week Andorran shoot featured Coll de la Botella, the Derby pub in Arinsal, and Prat del Roure, where crews recreated a Ràdio i Televisió d’Andorra (RTVA) studio set. Other scenes were captured at the Hong Kong Chinese restaurant in Escaldes-Engordany.
Terri told ANA that numerous Andorran professionals contributed to the shoot, with locals appearing not only in Principality scenes but also in those filmed in Barcelona and Osona. Key sequences recreate landmark concerts using two cameras, including the band's famed show at Barcelona's Plaça de Toros Monumental, their last performance in Vilafranca del Penedès, and additional live highlights.
The director praised the cast, saying she was "very satisfied with all the actors in the film" and highlighting the leads: Guim Puig as Carles Sabater, Pol Monen as Pep Sala, and Guillermo Lasheras as Joan Capdevila.
A co-production of Imminent Produccions and Arlong Productions, the film is advancing through post-production, with Terri noting that editing is the main priority alongside colour work, sound design, and integrating the band's music into the story. She indicated a release could come in the coming months.
