The 32nd edition of Els Pastorets will be staged outdoors again at the Casa Comuna in Sant Julià de Lòria, repeating the site-specific format used last year. The production, directed by Núria Montes and Txell Díaz and based on the classic text by Josep Maria Folch i Torres, preserves the spirit of the previous staging while introducing scenic improvements and new creative elements.

This year’s version gives greater prominence to Chinese shadow puppetry, which becomes a central visual motif. The set will occupy the small square in front of Casa Comuna and make use of the main façade’s windows to stage different scenes, expanding the outdoor, façade-integrated approach of the past edition.

Nearly one hundred people take part in the production, including actors, collaborators and Comú staff. Performances are scheduled for 26 and 28 December 2025 and 4 and 6 January 2026, with two sessions each day at 18:00 and 20:00. Audience access opens 15 minutes before each show; attendees are advised to wear warm clothing due to the open-air setting.

Tickets are sold at a symbolic price of €3 and can be purchased via the Comú de Sant Julià de Lòria website or by phone at +376 744 044. General rehearsals for the press are planned for 20 and 21 December at 18:00.
