The Escaldes-Engordany parish council has issued a glowing review of the sixth edition of its Empodera’t programme, which wrapped up over the final four months of 2025 with full attendance across all eight workshops.
A total of 97 people took part—95 women and two men—filling every available spot. Council representatives described the turnout as proof of the initiative's growing appeal as a key resource for women's personal, social, and emotional development. Participants also helped shape ideas for future sessions.
Laughter therapy proved most popular again, drawing 19 attendees who praised its benefits for emotional management and overall wellbeing. The ceramics workshop saw such strong demand that it required two separate sessions of 10 participants each, for a total of 20 spots. Other activities also hit capacity: outdoor tai chi and yoga each had 10 participants; the artificial intelligence workshop attracted 14; and the pelvic floor health and Christmas macramé workshops drew 11 apiece.
Launched in 2021, Empodera’t aims to advance women's empowerment through awareness, skill acquisition, and practical tools that drive individual growth and collective social change. The programme encourages networking and wider community involvement while incorporating feedback from attendees to guide upcoming content.
