Comedians Corbacho and Fernández Pack Andorra Venue with Improv Show

Comedians José Corbacho and David Fernández drew a full house of 180 spectators to their improvisational show *David y Jose, no somos Estopa* at Unnic's Green Box venue on Thursday, March 19, blending monologues, personal anecdotes, and onstage banter.

The duo described the production as an excuse to reunite after nearly three decades of collaboration, poking fun at their own careers across TV hits like *Tu cara me suena*, *Masterchef*, and Rodolfo Chikilicuatre's Eurovision entry. "We don't care much about what we've done or who we are," Corbacho said, emphasizing references that connect with a multigenerational audience. Fernández joked about his Eurovision 16th-place finish, while Corbacho sent a playful kiss to Citizens Compromised leader Carles Naudi, who had referenced Chikilicuatre in a jab at open-list voting proposals.

Amid the laughter, Corbacho recounted a chaotic incident from a prior La Cubana performance in Andorra. Director Jordi Milán had been jokingly scolding latecomers at the theatre door—even though arrivals were punctual that day—including a quip that Andorrans always showed up late. A local man with his partner took offence at the repeated remarks. Police soon arrived, detaining Milán just as he was set to appear onstage.

"The police took him away!" Corbacho laughed, explaining that shows ended with Milán still in custody. The cast departed without their artistic director, quipping that the break would provide welcome rest. The anecdote, he noted, showed how "everything that happens to us can turn into comedy," fueling their material as the tour continues across Spain.

Both performers expressed fondness for Andorra, affirming they would return to welcoming venues—"if they treat you well, you have to come back"—while hoping for milder stories next time, without any smuggling mishaps.
