Registrations Open for Andorra Carnival Parade 2026

Registrations are open for the joint Carnival parade in Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany, scheduled for 14 February 2026. Individuals and groups can register at the culture departments of either parish from 19 January until 13 February at 1pm.

Entries for the parade groups contest require a minimum of eight participants. The event is open to all ages, with no limits on costume themes. Judges will evaluate outfits for originality and craftsmanship, as well as performance quality during the procession and choreography standards. Prizes split into two categories: parade groups offer €800 for first place, €650 for second, €450 for third, and €300 for the most family-friendly entry. The choreography contest awards €500, €400, and €300 for the top three positions.

Groups using motorised elements, vehicles, or mobile structures that could endanger participants, spectators, or urban infrastructure must provide civil liability insurance documentation covering potential accidents or damage. Organisers ban large vehicles weighing 3 to 3.5 tonnes as floats to avoid traffic issues.

The parade kicks off at 6pm from Parc de la Mola in Escaldes-Engordany, with participants required to arrive by 5pm. It proceeds along Carrer de la Constitució, Avinguda Carlemany, Avinguda Meritxell, and finishes at Plaça del Poble in Andorra la Vella. A communal botifarra barbecue will follow for all entrants, with choreography finalists performing at the Auditori del Centre de Congressos in Andorra la Vella. Contest winners will be revealed at the event's conclusion.
