Andorra la Vella — Trans activist Noah Surana said Friday that they have encountered sexist and discriminatory attitudes in the workplace during an interview on the RNA programme "Avui serà un bon dia." Surana described difficulties gaining access to jobs in sectors such as cleaning and hospitality.
They recounted that in several selection processes interviewers made comments like "a boy won't know how to clean" or "a boy is a bit too extroverted," remarks Surana called clearly sexist. According to Surana, those kinds of prejudices limit many people's employment opportunities.
Surana also asserted that society "is a bit misogynistic and sexist" and added that there are "many people silenced" as a result of these attitudes.
