The University of Andorra (UdA) has opened registrations for second-semester continuing education courses in Portuguese language and culture, as well as Chinese language and culture, scheduled from 24 February to 26 June 2026. Open to anyone aged 16 or older, including UdA students and the broader community, these programmes promote language skills and cultural diversity through partnerships with Portugal's Camões Institute and Barcelona's Confucius Institute Foundation.

Local demand for Chinese courses remains notably high, with 403 enrolments recorded since their launch in the 2016-2017 academic year via the Aula Confuci d'Andorra. Portuguese courses, which began in 2013-2014, have attracted 216 participants over the same period.

Portuguese offerings cover levels A2.1 and B1.1, each carrying 3 European credits—equivalent to around 90 hours of student commitment, including 45 hours of in-person instruction on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Participants can strengthen basic oral and written comprehension and expression, while deepening knowledge of Portuguese-speaking countries' cultures.

Chinese courses span levels ZH-A1.2, ZH-A2.2, ZH-B2.2, and advanced, with 4 European credits each—about 120 hours total, including 54 hours of teaching. Beginner levels will take place mainly in person at the UdA, while ZH-B2.2 and advanced sessions will be online. These build competencies in oral and written Chinese communication alongside cultural insights.

Both in-person and virtual options are available. Registrations must be completed by 10 February 2026, with final enrolment confirmation due by 17 February.
