The Automòbil Club d’Andorra (ACA) has received the FIA’s One-Star Environmental Accreditation, an international standard recognizing environmental efforts by organizations in mobility and motorsport.
The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) awarded the distinction after an audit in November by an accredited expert. It confirms the ACA has implemented initial best practices and laid the groundwork for a management system aligned with the FIA’s sustainability goals.
Key achievements included adopting an environmental policy endorsed by club president Enric Tarrado, appointing an environmental officer, and setting specific targets in areas such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and phasing out single-use paper and plastics.
The club has also introduced measures like LED lighting installations, process digitalization, and calculating emissions from events to offset their impact.
Tarrado described the accreditation as “a confirmation that we are on the right path and a stimulus to keep advancing.”
