Andorra Sostenible has launched a photography competition called *Mirades d'aigua – Andorra 2026* for World Water Day, seeking to highlight water's environmental, social, and territorial value across the country.
The event, organised with Illa Carlemany and backed by Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror, invites all residents to enter one photo on Instagram. Users must follow @and_sostenible_mediambient and @illacarlemany, share the image on their profile, tag both accounts, and include #MiradesAigua. Submissions should show water in Andorran natural areas, urban scenes, or daily activities, with outdoor landscape locations specified. The contest began this Monday and runs until 17 March.
Organisers will choose up to 16 photos for display at Illa Carlemany from 23 to 29 March, where visitors vote via QR code. Results come on 31 March.
A jury of representatives from Illa Carlemany, Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror, and Andorra Sostenible picks one winner, while public votes award a special mention. Prizes cover Andorran farm goods, an Illa Carlemany gift card, cinema tickets, parking vouchers, Vall del Madriu items, and access to Pont Tibetà and Roc del Quer in Canillo.
Complete rules appear on the Andorra Sostenible site at www.sostenibilitat.ad.
