The result came after UE Santa Coloma had briefly closed the gap earlier, beating Penya Encarnada 2-0 through strikes from Miguel López and Gonçalo Borges.

In other key results, FC Santa Coloma strengthened their hold on third place—a further four points behind the leaders—with a 4-0 thrashing of bottom side Esperança. Guillaume Lopez scored twice, alongside goals from Yenerey and Iñigo Barrenechea. Ranger's, chasing a European spot, suffered a late 2-1 defeat to Carroi, where Steeven opened the scoring before Cisteró and Benjamín turned the game around in the final minutes, the winner arriving in the 97th.

Inter coach Felip Ortiz now eyes next Saturday's clash with Ranger's at 7:30pm, aware of the concurrent derby between UE Santa Coloma (under Iñaki Alonso) and FC Santa Coloma (led by Víctor Vázquez).
