Data from the Ministry of Health for week 52 (December 22-28) showed flu incidence at 133.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, down from 266.76 the prior week (December 15-21). Acute respiratory infections stood at 279.7 cases per 100,000, a decrease from 514.68 cases the week before. In both categories, children aged 0-4 years recorded the highest rates, followed by those aged 5-14 for flu.
Virus surveillance identified positive results in 15.8% of samples tested that week. Among positives, influenza A accounted for 84.2%, rhinovirus/enterovirus for 10.5%, and SARS-CoV-2 for 5.3%.
