Andorra Endavant general councillor Noemí Amador has submitted written questions to the Government seeking details on staffing levels and care resources at the L’Albó residence.
The move addresses concerns over potential shortages of healthcare and support staff amid ongoing care pressures at the facility, particularly for residents with complex needs. Amador’s queries request specific data on the current number of residents, the types of conditions they present with, and staff-to-resident ratios across shifts.
She also seeks information on the number of available healthcare and support professionals, as well as procedures in place for handling behavioural crises, psychiatric episodes, or other risk situations within the residence.
Among the questions, Amador asks the Government to assess whether existing human resources are adequate and whether any gaps or incidents have arisen linked to resident safety, mental health, or worker workloads.
Andorra Endavant stressed that care dignity, resident safety, and proper working conditions for staff must remain top priorities. Amador called for clear and transparent responses on the matter, which she described as highly sensitive and relevant to residents, their families, and sector professionals.
The Government has yet to reply to the questions.
