Andorran SAAS Changes Access to Meritxell Clinic During Viaduct Upgrades
SAAS has implemented temporary access changes via a footbridge and signage to ensure smooth patient flow amid stormwater upgrades on the Escalls viaduct. Routine health services remain unaffected until early November.
Key Points
- Temporary entry via Tanatori Nacional footbridge to Ageing and Health Service.
- Visitors obtain tickets at reception after crossing the area.
- Clear signage guides users; private vehicles banned in zone.
- Routine services unaffected; emergencies prioritized until early November.
The Andorran Health Care Service (SAAS) has introduced temporary changes to access at the Clínica Verge de Meritxell outpatient consultations building due to ongoing drainage and stormwater collection improvements on the Escalls viaduct along Carrer dels Escalls.
The work is scheduled for completion in early November. In the meantime, visitors must enter via the footbridge located in front of Tanatori Nacional, leading to the Ageing and Health Service. Once there, they should cross through the area, turn right toward reception, and use the devices to obtain appointment tickets.
Clear signage has been installed throughout the site to guide people. Private vehicles are not permitted in the zone during this phase, though SAAS has put in place protocols to ensure ambulances and other emergency vehicles face no delays.
Routine health services continue to operate without interruption amid the adjustments. SAAS asks users to heed the signs and expresses appreciation for their understanding during this brief period.
