The Department of Statistics reports 398 active disability benefits at the end of June 2025, a 3.6% increase from 384 at the end of March. Between April and June, 14 new applications were lodged and all were approved.
Men account for 54.5% of beneficiaries. By age, the largest shares are concentrated between 56 and 60 years (14.8%) and 61 and 65 years (14.3%), together representing nearly 30% of recipients and indicating a concentration of recognised disabilities in the years approaching retirement.
Most beneficiaries are Andorran (55.3%), followed by Spanish nationals (25.6%) and a smaller share of Portuguese nationals. Nearly two-thirds of recipients are single (64.3%), and 41.5% have lived in Andorra for their entire lives.
More than half of beneficiaries (50.5%) have pluridisability, meaning two or more concurrent disabilities. A majority (60.6%) have a recognised degree of disability between 60% and 69%, the most common bracket among active cases.
Regarding benefit levels, 55.3% receive a monthly payment between €1,201 and €1,447.33 — the 2025 statutory minimum wage — underscoring that these benefits frequently serve as a primary source of income for many recipients who cannot access the labour market.
