Emergency medical services in Andorra responded to two separate incidents on Wednesday afternoon, one involving a young man expressing suicidal thoughts in Andorra la Vella and another concerning a missing person in Sant Julià de Lòria.
Shortly after 6pm, responders were called to the riverside walkway near Bar L’Orri in Prat de la Creu, central Andorra la Vella. A youth had voiced autolytic ideas but did not inflict any life-threatening self-harm. Upon arrival, the Servei d’Urgències Mèdiques (SUM), police, and traffic services found him seated on a bench. After calming him, they transported him to hospital for evaluation to assess whether he requires treatment or was experiencing a relapse in an ongoing condition.
Around 6:45pm in Sant Julià de Lòria, SUM and police jointly attended a report of a person missing for several days. At the residence behind Universitat Carlemany, they located the individual in good condition but suffering from an acute illness. Relatives had raised the alarm due to lack of contact. The person was taken to hospital for further care.
