  • Mental health awards seek projects breaking stigmas; submit by April 15 to pisma@govern.ad.
  • Prizes include venue tickets and vouchers; last year had 8 entries with winners for advocacy and exhibitions.

The Andorran Ministry of Health has opened a new call for entries to recognise initiatives promoting mental health awareness, emotional well-being and social inclusion. Now in its second year, the competition seeks to spotlight projects from citizens, entities and associations that break stigmas, raise public consciousness and generate media and social impact.

Proposals can be submitted until April 15 during public office hours by emailing documentation to pisma@govern.ad. The effort falls under Action A44 of the Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Plan (PISMA), involving civil society and public administration. It supports the United Nations' 2030 Agenda and the 2021-2025 Pan-European Mental Health Coalition priorities.

Winning initiatives will earn prizes such as tickets to Principality venues and vouchers for stationery and bookshops, aiming to encourage project continuity. Last year's 2025 edition attracted eight submissions. Nataxa Afamughat claimed first prize for proposing a group of mental health advocates. Anna Simonet earned second for an exhibition on body insecurities and beauty standards. Third place went to Ezoe Alberola for creations addressing anxiety, eating disorders and self-harm.

Separately, the government has approved a state bachelor's degree in logistics management, a university qualification to prepare professionals for the logistics sector and supply chain needs. Graduates will qualify for positions including logistics manager, supply chain coordinator, demand planner, operations manager, logistics process analyst, transport and distribution supervisor, logistics and operations consultant, international logistics technician, warehouse or distribution centre manager, sustainable logistics specialist, or customs and procurement expert.

The executive has set the programme's core features, which interested universities must expand into study plans for approval by the Andorran Higher Education Quality Agency (AQUA). UNIPRO European Digital University requested the degree and intends to include it in future academic years.
