Over 100 Andorran Students Take PAU Exams in La Seu d'Urgell, 44% of Alt Pirineu Candidates

Over 100 Andorran students are participating in specific-phase PAU university entrance exams in La Seu d'Urgell through Thursday, representing nearly 44% of the 244 candidates registered in the Alt Pirineu region.

The 107 Andorrans form the second-largest contingent after 84 students from Institut Joan Brudieu in La Seu d'Urgell, with 52 more from Institut Pere Borrell in Puigcerdà and one from Institut Obert de Catalunya. These students are sitting only specific-phase subjects to enhance their university admission grades. Meanwhile, around 250 Andorran bachillerato students are taking the full PAU exams at Escola Maria Moliner in Andorra from Tuesday through Saturday.

Most sessions in La Seu d'Urgell occur at Sala Sant Domènec, with select specific tests at the Centre Empresarial i Tecnològic de l'Alt Pirineu (CETAP) in the Edifici de les Monges. Exams run in morning and afternoon slots at 9am, noon, and 3pm across three days.

Maria Ricart, president of the La Seu d'Urgell PAU board—supported by eight other members—confirmed the exams started on time Tuesday with no major disruptions. She noted that routine issues, such as students forgetting identification or initial administrative list errors, were addressed swiftly without impacting proceedings.

Ordinary session results are due on 23 June. Exam reviews can be requested on 25, 26, and 29 June, with final review grades published on 7 July. An extraordinary session is scheduled for 2, 3, and 4 September.
