  • Delegates approved proposals on street cleanliness, pedestrian safety, and senior support initiatives.
  • Rejected sole proposal for a dedicated dog exercise area.
  • Endorsed improvements to stairs on Carrer de les Peces Caldes and school crosswalk safety.
  • Event featured officials, UNICEF technician, and school teachers praising youth engagement.

Young delegates from Escaldes-Engordany's schools approved all proposals presented at the parish's latest Children's Council session except for one calling for a dog exercise area.

The gathering took place this morning at the Comú d’Escaldes-Engordany, where representatives from various educational systems shared ideas prepared in advance through classroom work and a preliminary commission. The measures, centred on street cleanliness, pedestrian safety and social-environmental welfare, underwent debate before voting.

Delegates endorsed actions to improve maintenance of the stairs on Carrer de les Peces Caldes, bolster safety at school-area crosswalks, and launch support initiatives for seniors handling administrative tasks. The sole rejected idea was establishing a dedicated circuit for dogs.

Cònsol Major Rosa Gili and Childhood Councillor Maria Carriço thanked the young participants for their engagement. They praised the welfare-focused nature of the approved initiatives and noted how they demonstrate the delegates' sensitivity and dedication to parish life.

The event also included Aina Segarra, UNICEF sensitisation technician, alongside teachers from the area's school networks.
