Andorra Aviation Academy, an EASA-accredited training organization based in Andorra la Vella, has purchased an Elixir aircraft to support its pilot training programs.

The academy offers a comprehensive distance-learning course for ATPL theory, with plans to open a practical training base at Andorra–La Seu d'Urgell Airport by September 2026. The purchase of the Elixir coincided with the Pilot fair in Brussels.

Francesc Mora, president of Andorra Aviation Academy, said the Elixir was selected as the school's first aircraft due to its safety features, innovative design, and operational efficiency, which align with the academy's commitment to high standards in aeronautical training.

Arthur Léopold-Léger, president and co-founder of Elixir Aircraft, welcomed the decision. He expressed satisfaction with the trust placed in the company and eagerness to support the aircraft's integration into the academy's growing fleet.

Initial flight operations will use the Elixir for ab initio training and a Cirrus SR20 G7+ for advanced phases, emphasizing modern aircraft with strong safety records.

From September 2026, the academy will also provide a hybrid ATPL theory course through a partnership with Paris-based Institut Aéronautique Amaury de la Grange (IAAG), delivered at the institute's facilities.
