The Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS) recorded 3,147 workplace accidents in 2025, marking an 8.27% drop from the 3,431 incidents reported the previous year. This continues a downward trend for the third consecutive year, following declines of 7.7% in 2024 and a slight decrease in 2023 after two years of increases.

The reduction aligns with quarterly data and stems largely from fewer incidents in key sectors that accounted for 73.7% of total cases: construction, social services and other activities, commerce and motor vehicle repair, hospitality, and manufacturing. Construction led with 732 accidents, down 10% from 814 in 2024. Social services and other activities followed with 671 cases (an 8.9% decrease from 737), while commerce and vehicle repair saw 528 incidents (2.4% fewer than 541).

Other notable declines included hospitality (252 accidents, 47 fewer than 2024), public administration, defence and social security (212, down 20), and manufacturing (138, a reduction of 26). Sectors with increases were real estate and rental activities (283 accidents, up from 275) and health and veterinary services (183, versus 179). Transport, storage and communications reported 78 cases; households employing domestic staff had 22 (four fewer); and agriculture, livestock, hunting, forestry, and education each logged 12.

The drop in accidents also led to fewer work absences, falling 7.42% to 1,721 from 1,859 two years prior. Construction topped absences at 503 (7.7% less than 545 in 2024), followed by commerce and vehicle repair (308) and social services (272). Real estate and rentals caused 177 absences, hospitality 140, and public administration 95.

The average absence duration remained steady at 55 days, consistent with 2024. Special regimes showed longer averages, including one case at 314 days, domestic community work at 158 days for three absences, and households employing staff at 96 days for 11 absences from 22 incidents.

No fatalities were recorded in 2025, though CASS data covers only declared cases eligible for full benefits.
