Police in Encamp arrested a 27-year-old man on Wednesday morning as the suspect in a sexual assault on an unknown woman. He allegedly followed her in the early hours until she reached her building entrance, where he attacked her before she could get inside. She started filming him with her phone to deter him, which made him run away. Officers identified and held him after she filed a complaint.

In Pas de la Casa, authorities detained a 35-year-old tourist early Tuesday for attempting to spend fake 50-euro notes at two businesses. A search found 12 counterfeit bills in his possession. He now faces charges over threats to public financial security.

Officers stopped five drivers for drink-driving over recent days. Wednesday night in Ordino, a 56-year-old man who crashed into a road sign at the Aldosa roundabout and kept driving tested at 1.77. On Thursday or Friday in Canillo, a 33-year-old man was stopped with 1.89.

At the Riu Runer border crossing, police arrested four people on Thursday and Friday for possessing small amounts of drugs for personal use. Thursday saw a 31-year-old woman with 0.35 grams of cocaine and a 33-year-old male tourist with 0.2 grams. Friday brought two 23-year-old female tourists, one with 0.50 grams of ecstasy and the other with 0.45 grams. All received rapid-procedure convictions and were released hours later.

Early Friday outside an Arinsal nightclub, officers detained a 35-year-old man and 33-year-old woman—tourists in their thirties staying nearby—after a midnight alert around 12:45am for a disturbance. Witnesses pointed to them in the theft of €600 cash from a woman's handbag. Police, who had checked the pair earlier, recovered the money during a search. Intoxicated and defiant, they argued with officers, resisted while rights were read, and denied involvement, earning extra charges against public function alongside the theft. Processed at headquarters, they faced a judge Friday afternoon under rapid procedure. Evidence led to convictions, including a conditional sentence and €200 fine for one; the cash was returned, and they were freed that evening, citing alcohol-induced memory loss.
