Students from three northern Andorran secondary schools presented proposals to enhance youth facilities and community initiatives at the second Adolescents' Council of the Northern Valleys, held this morning in the Massana communal council chamber.

Participants from the Andorran School of Ordino, Àgora International School, and the Massana Vocational Training Centre shared ideas aimed at boosting young people's involvement in Massana and Ordino parish affairs. The Andorran School group advocated improvements to youth wellbeing and leisure spaces in both parishes to make them more attractive and teen-friendly. Students from the vocational centre suggested extending hours at the Youth Centre for wider access. Àgora representatives proposed a solidarity collection point to encourage cooperation and mutual aid among residents.

Massana cònsol Eva Sansa commended the participants for their "involvement, concerns, and courage" in raising these issues. Ordino senior cònsol Maria del Mar Coma highlighted a marked improvement in the proposals' quality over last year, calling them more comprehensive, and urged students to support future submissions with surveys and data.

Political representatives praised the high calibre of the ideas and the students' engagement. After voting, two proposals passed: upgrades to leisure spaces and expanded Youth Centre hours. Students will refine them further for resubmission at the council's next session in May, hosted by the Ordino commune.
