Andorra la Vella's cycling museum sees third straight year of growth, drawing 82 nationalities and earning

The Bici Lab museum in Andorra la Vella recorded 14,629 visitors in 2025, a 16% rise from the previous year and the third consecutive annual increase since opening in October 2022.

Daily attendance averaged around 56 people, with monthly totals surpassing 1,000 on six occasions and exceeding 2,500 twice. Visitors represented 82 nationalities, led by those from Spain, Andorra, and France.

Sergi González, consell major of Andorra la Vella, called the results proof of the museum's role as a genuine cycling hub, sharing the sport's stories, heritage, and principles with residents and newcomers. He portrayed it as more than an exhibition space—a dynamic venue fostering awareness through mobility, sports, and culture.

Individual visitors made up 72% of the total, with Spaniards accounting for nearly half. Groups were predominantly Andorran at 66%, driven by over 70 school visits and parallel activities involving about 1,400 participants. Families comprised 48% of attendees, bolstered by features like the "Ciutats a Escala Humana" display, which engages children and parents with straightforward narratives emphasizing urban consciousness, respect, and thoughtful environmental views. González noted this approach creates intergenerational connections via accessible knowledge sharing.

Visitor surveys of more than 2,500 people gave an overall rating of 8.4 out of 10, praising staff hospitality, immersive experiences, and collection quality.

Attendance stemmed from tourist information, the museum's online presence, advertising, word-of-mouth, premium experiences, ties to local cycling events, trade fair appearances, and engaging content that sparks discussion.

González affirmed the council's ongoing push to position Bici Lab as an open, educational draw, cementing Andorra la Vella's reputation in cycling, sustainability, and social principles.
