Andorra General Council Launches Tender for Final Casa de la Vall Landscaping Phase

The General Council has launched a public tender for the third and final phase of the Casa de la Vall renovation project, focusing on landscaping, green spaces, and urban furniture behind Andorra's historic parliament building.

Published this week in the *Butlletí Oficial del Principat d'Andorra* (BOPA) and the Council's bulletin, the national tender lists a base budget of 376,033.32 euros. Works cover planting trees, shrubs and grass, building a vegetal exterior wall and ecological vegetal cover, supplying and installing urban furniture, and providing ongoing maintenance for the green areas. Bidders must ensure works finish within three months, with minimal disruption to the historic site, nearby buildings and local traffic. A mandatory site visit is set for 4 June 2026 at 11:00, and offers are due by 26 June 2026 at 15:30 via the public procurement platform. The winning firm will handle maintenance until 2032.

Civil engineering from prior phases is progressing and expected to wrap up in the coming weeks, paving the way for summer landscaping. Launched nearly two years ago, the project has cleared the old gardens to develop more accessible public spaces, including a new outdoor auditorium for cultural events due to open before summer's end.

Council sources target full completion and an opening in September, or early October at the latest. Earlier estimates had pegged costs around 188,000-219,000 euros plus annual maintenance of about 31,500 euros, but the official BOPA figure now reflects the full scope including long-term upkeep.

The tender stays on track with the original timeline despite some media reports citing lower preliminary figures.
