Creand Crèdit Andorrà has reached a milestone of more than one million euros in contributions to Andorra's National Committee for UNICEF since the partnership began in 2004.

The achievement caps over two decades of collaboration focused on advancing child rights and fostering sustainable growth in some of the world's most at-risk communities. In 2025 alone, the bank provided 40,730 euros, drawn from Visa UNICEF card usage fees, its direct contributions, and a minimum 30-euro annual pledge from cardholders.

This support during 2024 and 2025 has powered several high-impact humanitarian efforts. A standout project is UNICEF Andorra's four-year initiative building climate-resilient ecovillages in southern Madagascar to address worsening climate effects on children. It aids 3,000 people directly and over 12,000 indirectly, with built-in features for long-term viability and expansion.

In Afghanistan, funding has backed programs prioritizing gender equality and protection for girls and women in a severely challenging humanitarian environment. These efforts provide safe spaces along with training in essential skills, health care, nutrition, hygiene, and safeguarding, benefiting tens of thousands.

The partnership extends to non-financial aid, including the bank's provision of premises on Avinguda Meritxell in Andorra la Vella for UNICEF Andorra's solidarity shop. Opened in October 2022, the store has raised more than 100,000 euros through steady growth, supported by donor commitment, volunteer efforts, and its prime location.

Creand's donations also feed into UNICEF's flexible funding pool, enabling rapid responses to crises while sustaining core work in nutrition, education, and child protection.

Marianela Vila, president of UNICEF Andorra, described Creand as a key long-standing partner, built on over 20 years of mutual trust centered on child welfare, corporate responsibility, and forward-thinking strategies.

Núria Roca, Creand's director of corporate communications, marketing, and new channels, said the million-euro threshold reinforces the bank's model of responsible banking, aligned with sustainability, solidarity, and tangible societal gains.
