The Fundació Privada Maria Maestre has allocated €900,000 to support three educational initiatives in Andorra, marking its first direct action in line with its statutory goals.

The funding, formalized through collaboration agreements signed on Thursday at the foundation's headquarters in Ca l’Apotecari, Andorra la Vella, benefits projects led by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Col·legi Sant Ermengol, and the Institució Germanes de la Sagrada Família d’Urgell. Eduard Ibáñez, the foundation's president and personal representative of the episcopal co-prince, signed the pacts alongside Social Affairs Minister Trini Marín, Col·legi Sant Ermengol board member Joan Massa, and Meritxell Vidal from the Institució Germanes de la Sagrada Família d’Urgell.

The largest portion, €500,000, goes to the Ministry of Social Affairs to cover operating costs for the Centre Residencial Educatiu Intensiu (CREI) in the 2026 budget year. Minister Marín expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as an act of solidarity aimed at enhancing opportunities, welfare, and future prospects for Andorra's youth.

An additional €200,000 will fund renovations to teaching facilities at Col·legi Mare Janer in Santa Coloma, managed by the Institució Germanes de la Sagrada Família d’Urgell. The remaining €200,000 targets repairs and improvements to the playground at Col·legi Sant Ermengol.

Established in 2019 by the Bisbat d’Urgell and registered in the Andorran government's foundations registry, the Fundació Maria Maestre focuses on public-interest projects in education and culture, aligned with Catholic values.
