INH Publishes Final Tenant List for 20 Public Rental Flats in Former Hotel Hermus

The Institut Nacional de l'Habitatge (INH) has published the final list of tenants for public rental flats in the former Hotel Hermus in Encamp, as outlined in an edict in the *Butlletí Oficial del Principat d'Andorra* (BOPA).

New reports clarify that the building provides 20 flats, receiving 44 applications—more than double the available units and greater demand than the previous Hotel Pellicer project in Canillo. A notary-supervised draw conducted by Mònica Mirabet on 23 December resolved scoring ties, allocated flats by household composition and unit type, and set a waiting list for potential refusals. Monthly rents, set according to household income and capped at 30% of earnings, will range from €212.26 to €812.74.

The edict, published this morning, notes that the INH will notify selected tenants within one month to finalise leases, enabling occupancy under contracts lasting up to five years. The strong interest underscores ongoing challenges in affordable housing access, as highlighted last December by Housing Minister Conxita Marsol.
