The residential educational action centre (CRAE), better known as La Gavernera, received a solidarity cheque for €3,098.71 raised during World Children’s Day events at McDonald’s restaurants across the country.
The Pyrénées Group, represented by president Patrick Pérez and Alexandra Pérez, presented the proceeds to Minister of Social Affairs Trini Marin, Secretary of State Ester Cervós Isern and Director of Childhood and Adolescence Laura Mas.
Minister Marin thanked the group on behalf of the government, noting the growing need for solidarity. Director Mas said the funds will be used for the children’s benefit, financing activities chosen by the youngsters themselves, such as summer camps or winter excursions.
