La Massana Parish Accelerates Digitalisation for Fully Online Admin Services
Residents can now handle most procedures via electronic headquarters and new app, with AI enhancements planned to boost efficiency and accessibility.
Key Points
- 25% of procedures now digital; Esplai registrations top at 39%, permits at 22%.
- La Massana + app centralises news, events, tourism, tickets, and procedures.
- AI integration for 24/7 phone support and platform improvements.
- In-person assistance for elderly and digital certificate help available.
La Massana parish council is advancing its digitalisation efforts, aiming to enable residents to complete nearly all administrative procedures online in a convenient and secure manner, without needing to visit in person.
Most procedures are now available through the council's electronic headquarters at lamassana.ad, where citizens can handle applications, registrations, and licences quickly from any device. Currently, about a quarter of all procedures are conducted digitally. The most popular is registration for Esplai leisure activities, accounting for 39% of online requests, followed by public space occupation permits at 22%. Significant volumes also involve population census updates, cadastral matters, and appeals against infringement notices.
The council plans to steadily increase the share of online procedures while providing support to ensure no one is left behind in the digital transition. Assistance is available at the procedures service for obtaining digital certificates or completing online tasks, and elderly residents can receive afternoon guidance at the Casa Pairal.
To further streamline access, the council has launched the La Massana + app, a comprehensive platform for news, events, tourist information, ticket purchases, and procedures. Available on major mobile platforms, it centralises services in one intuitive location.
The parish is also integrating artificial intelligence to enhance its platforms, with upcoming improvements including AI in the telephone switchboard for round-the-clock, high-quality support every day of the year.
These initiatives seek to shift preferences away from in-person visits, promoting online options for their time-saving, displacement-free benefits. The digital overhaul not only simplifies life for residents but also fosters a more sustainable, efficient administration suited to modern needs.
