Police in Encamp raided an apartment in the Pedral area on Thursday morning, shutting down a prostitution operation after weeks of monitoring suspicious activity at the site.

Officers from the Judicial Police and Criminal Investigation unit entered the flat and encountered two women suspected of providing sexual services and one male client. The client acknowledged the arrangement, confirming prostitution was occurring there.

Authorities arrested one of the women, a 32-year-old non-resident, after a drugs-detection dog from the Canine Guides Group located 14 grams of tusi split into two bags along with a dosifier. Investigators also seized plastic wraps used for preparing doses and approximately €1,400 in cash.

The client faced an administrative sanction under Andorra's Qualified Public Security Law, which prohibits soliciting or engaging in sexual relations with someone involved in prostitution.

Police emphasised their ongoing commitment to tackling such crimes.

In other incidents this week, officers detained a 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman—both tourists—for offences against physical and moral integrity following a mutual assault at an Arinsal hotel on Tuesday night. Separately, a 31-year-old tourist was arrested early Wednesday for driving with a blood alcohol level of 1.27.
