Andorran Clara Vila Fité Named Spokesperson for Francophone Youth Parliament

Andorran Clara Vila Fité has been chosen as one of two spokespersons for the Francophone Youth Parliament (PFJ), a position she will share with Rwandan representative Dany Vassily through 2028.

The selection occurred at the PFJ's 11th edition, which ran parallel to the 51st Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF) in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Vila represented Andorra there alongside Isaac Cabases, a member of the country's APF section.

In their two-year roles, Vila and Vassily will carry forward the PFJ's initiatives, serving as a bridge to La Francophonie's core institutions. Key duties include delivering resolutions and proposals from the youth parliament to various organizational bodies, as well as joining international conferences and gatherings.

Their work seeks to strengthen young people's input on topics such as democracy, rule of law, multilingualism, and participation in decision-making processes.

Vila's tenure began with a visit to Togo from September 30 to October 4 as part of Francophonie youth programs. She is also set to join the Francophonie Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, this November—a major event where PFJ contributions will feature prominently.

The PFJ gathers young delegates from Francophone countries and territories for simulated parliamentary debates on global issues, while building networks across diverse participants.
