The social democratic parliamentary group has organised a public talk on the sustainability of Andorra's public pension system, scheduled for Wednesday, 18 March, at 7pm in the La Llacuna events room in Andorra la Vella.

Titled “The Sustainability of the Public Pension System: Reflections and Challenges”, the event will be led by Dr. Ignacio Zubiri Orria, a professor of public finance at the University of the Basque Country. Zubiri, a specialist in taxation and public pension systems who advises the social democrats on fiscal policy, will present their proposals for reforming the system to secure its long-term viability and enhance social protections.

The session aims to outline the social democratic view on tackling current pressures facing the model and identifying strategies to protect its future. Zubiri has a long record of advising public bodies and authoring studies on fiscal policy, social protection sustainability, and pension reforms.

Open to all, the talk seeks to spark public discussion on Andorra's public pensions at a time when political and social actors are examining potential changes.
