Andorra awards €4.77m in 2025 sports subsidies; ski federation takes ~30%

In 2025 the government awarded a total of €4,774,514.86 in sports subsidies and one‑off grants, a 3.5% increase compared with 2024 (€4,612,790), according to the statistics department.

Most of the funding—€4,426,865.07—went to federations and sports organisations, consolidating an upward trend. The Andorran Ski Federation (FAE) received the largest share, about 30% of the total (30.4% the previous year).

One‑off grants to federations and entities amounted to €347,649.79. Some €160,000 (46% of that sum) was split equally among Bàsquet Club Andorra, the Andorran Athletics Federation, the Andorran Volleyball Federation and the Andorran Rugby Federation to support preparation for the 2025 Games of the Small States of Europe.

The Andorra High Performance Programme (ARA) funded 53 athletes this year, nine more than the previous season, and distributed €418,612.50—an increase of 12%. Within ARA, the Elite Programme received 46.2% of the funds, the Promises Programme 34.9%, Special Plans/Pre‑elite 5.8%, Young Promises 6.9%, and the new Collective Sports Programme 6.3%.

Prizes for notable international results totalled €58,500.

The government said the figures reflect its commitment to sports technification and continued support for the federation network.
