Andorra allocates €4.77m in 2025 sports grants; ski federation receives ~30%

The government allocated €4,774,514.86 in sports grants and one‑off aid for 2025, a 3.5% increase on the €4,612,790 distributed in 2024, according to official statistics. The bulk of the funding — €4,426,865.07 — was awarded to federations and sports organisations, also up 3.5% year‑on‑year.

The Andorran Ski Federation again received the largest share, accounting for roughly 30% of the total allocation (about the same proportion as the previous year). One‑off aids to federations and entities totalled €347,649.79; 46% of that sum was split equally between Bàsquet Club Andorra, the Andorran Athletics Federation, the Andorran Volleyball Federation and the Andorran Rugby Federation to support preparations for the 2025 Games of the Small States.

The Andorra High Performance Programme (ARA) awarded scholarships to 53 athletes in 2025, up from 44 the prior season, mobilising €418,612.50 — a 12% rise. Within ARA, the distribution of funds was: Elite Programme 46.2%, Promises Programme 34.9%, Special Plans/Pre‑elite 5.8%, Young Promises 6.9% and the new Collective Sports Programme 6.3%.

Prizes for notable international results amounted to €58,500. The government said the figures reflect its ongoing commitment to sports technification and support for the federative structure.

At parish level, the Comú d’Andorra la Vella awarded €448,433 in club and federation subsidies for the season. Top municipal beneficiaries included Esquí Club d’Andorra (€63,059), Andorra Hoquei Club (€46,807) and Club Judo Hantei (€41,872), with several other clubs receiving grants above €30,000.
