Lea Ancion and Max Palmitjavila finished eighth in the mixed relay at the Ski Mountaineering World Cup in Val Martello, Italy, on Saturday, clocking 43:09.3 on the Final A course—7:27 behind the winning Austrian team of Johanna Hiemer and Paul Verbnjak.
In qualifying, Palmitjavila ranked 10th and Ancion 11th, securing their spot in the top-10 final for Andorra.
The competition continued Sunday with the individual sprint, where Oriol Olm produced Andorra's strongest performance by placing 18th overall. He recorded the 15th-fastest qualifying time of 3:11.12 before finishing fourth in his quarter-final heat, about 10 seconds shy of the semi-finals.
Palmitjavila qualified 32nd and did not advance to the finals, while Ancion took 23rd after qualifying 26th and exiting in the women's quarter-finals.
Spain's Oriol Cardona, the Olympic champion, claimed victory in the sprint.
