Andorran driver Frank Porté has renewed his sponsorship deal with Andbank for the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux GT3 Cup season, targeting the overall European title after a sixth-place finish in his debut year.

Speaking at a Monday event in Andorra la Vella, Porté described his 2025 campaign as a tough adaptation to GT racing. He remained in contention for the rookie title until the final race, where personal mistakes and external incidents cost him crucial points. "Races can go your way or not—I've made mistakes, but bad luck with incidents cost me key points in the last event," he said. He noted stronger pace in the second half of the season, when he began challenging for podiums, building optimism for the year ahead.

Official training starts next week, blending on-track sessions with daily simulator practice that anchors his routine. Porté's career has advanced steadily from simulators to two Formula 4 seasons with victories and podiums, before stepping up to Porsche GT3 Cup demands. "The experience I've gained will make a big difference, and we'll push for the championship," he added, expressing delight at the Andbank renewal alongside other backers. "We're entering the season with major challenges and strong drive to claim this European-level title."

Andbank Country Banking Director Maria Suárez hailed his "meritorious sixth position" as a standout result. She highlighted the bank's long-term commitment to projects embodying talent, effort, and determination—values it associates with motorsport.

The 2026 calendar spans six race weekends from May at Spa to October, delivering 12 races on elite European circuits, including Formula 1-linked tracks like Monaco's streets. Porté called the schedule inspiring, featuring dream venues that fuel his championship focus.
