Ordino Arcalís hosted the 14th JAM Extreme FWTJ 3 freeride junior event over the weekend, doubling as Andorra's inaugural national freeride championships in partnership with the Andorran Ski Federation (FAE).
The gathering drew 120 young riders from 12 countries, who competed under clear skies and prime snow conditions, with depths ranging from 310 to 370 centimetres. Competitors navigated challenging lines and standout jumps in the 15-metre zone, showcasing top-tier skills.
Local standout Jan Gacia claimed gold in the U14 ski category with 88.33 points. Fellow Andorrans Gael Díez, Alexia Barragan, and Eric Moynat earned national titles as the country's top performers in U16 and U18 skiing, respectively.
Spanish riders secured seven golds, sweeping much of the podium. Fernando Baza and Caroline Brokaw topped U18 skiing, while Hernán Navales and Chloe Fàbrega won U18 snowboarding. Noah Arjona posted the day's highest mark of 92 points in U16.
Dani Fornell and Marc Gálvez organised the stop, the final three-star event on the European junior circuit and the season's last in the Pyrenees, offering crucial ranking points. They praised the snow quality, the discipline's rising profile—which eyes Olympic inclusion by 2030—and the promise of young athletes on the global stage.
