  • Donation funds organ donation awareness campaign with slogan 'Life goes on. Become an organ donor'.
  • ATIDA advocates expanding Andorra's transplant laws from bone marrow/corneas to full by 2027.
  • Event held on Àliga piste in Grandvalira from Feb 27 to Mar 1.

The organising committee of the Andorra 2026 Women's Alpine Ski World Cup has handed over a cheque for €4,085 to the Andorran Association of Transplant Recipients and Donors (ATIDA). The amount equals 25% of ticket sales from the event, which took place on the Àliga piste in Grandvalira's El Tarter sector from 27 February to 1 March.

David Hidalgo, the event's general director, and Víctor Torres, the corporate social responsibility manager, made the presentation on Thursday afternoon. Torres noted that the ski cup represents more than a competition, framing it as an initiative backed by firm social commitments.

ATIDA plans to use the donation for a communication and awareness drive on organ donation, featuring the slogan “Life goes on. Become an organ, cell, and tissue donor”. Campaign posters are already appearing at key commercial hubs across the Principality.

The group, with roughly 100 members, pushes for increased organ donations in Andorra, where around 10 individuals remain on transplant waiting lists. Current regulations limit local donations to bone marrow and corneas. ATIDA is partnering with the government to broaden the legal framework, targeting a full transplant law by 2027 to support initial procedures.
