FC Andorra has signed 19-year-old Georgian winger Saba Samushia to a three-year deal, with the versatile forward set to join as a free agent from Rio Ave FC U23 once his current contract expires this June.

Club sources confirmed to *El Periòdic* that the addition targets the Tricolor reserve team, Club Gimnàstic de Manresa, ahead of the 2026-2027 season. This marks the second confirmed signing after international Aron Rodrigo from Osca, whose arrival remains unannounced officially. Samushia, who shared an Instagram post from Georgian outlet Geo Goal announcing the move, will arrive without a transfer fee. Diari d'Andorra reported he holds a ficha with the Manresa side, competing in Primera Catalana, to aid his adaptation, though a loan could emerge if suitable options arise.

The player, from Zugdidi, spoke to Georgian First Channel about the agreement, noting an injury had disrupted his progress at Rio Ave. He aims to prepare in Andorra and regain form. Sources describe him as a left-sided attacker comfortable on either flank, with potential to impress in preseason under Carles Manso and earn first-team chances.

Samushia rose through Dinamo Tbilisi's youth system, Georgia's historic club. In August 2023, he loaned to Cypriot outfit Anorthosis Famagusta, returning in March 2024 to feature for Dinamo II in Georgia's second division, the youth team, and make his Erovnuli Liga debut alongside UEFA Conference League qualifier minutes.

A Georgia U17 and U19 international, he played European qualifiers, accumulating around 15 official U19 caps—and 22 matches with four goals per Diari d'Andorra. The Georgian Football Federation named him the best U19 player of 2024 and top striker at the 2023 Copa Vitali Daraselia.

His Portuguese stint began in February 2025 in the Liga Revelação, building minutes despite the setback.

Meanwhile, FC Andorra's season finale against AD Ceuta on Sunday at 16:15 in Encamp's Nou Estadi de la FAF bids farewell to up to 14 contract expirations and loanees returning to parent clubs, including goalkeepers Áron Yaakobishvili and Jesús Owono, defender Edgar González, and forwards Min-su Kim and Jastin García.
