Andorran tennis player Vicky Jiménez Kasintseva faces an uphill battle to regain form after her first-round exit from the Roland Garros qualifiers, with upcoming WTA 125 events in Makarska and Modena now on her schedule.

Jiménez Kasintseva, ranked No. 106, lost 7-6(7-3), 2-6, 4-6 to Russia's Yelena Pridankina, the world No. 220, in a 2-hour, 37-minute match on Court 13 last Saturday. The Andorran started strongly, building a 5-1 lead in the opening set before Pridankina mounted a comeback with five straight games, including two breaks of serve, to force a tie-break. Jiménez Kasintseva responded with five consecutive points to claim the set.

Pridankina shifted momentum in the second, breaking early after an even start and adding another break at 4-2 to level the match at one set apiece. The decider remained tight initially, with solid serving from both, but the Russian proved steadier in key moments to secure a 6-4 victory and advance to face compatriot Julia Avdeeva.

The result marks Jiménez Kasintseva's third loss in a row and eighth from her last nine matches, capping a disappointing clay-court swing. She entered the week at No. 111, targeting a main-draw spot in Paris.

Following the early elimination, the Andorran will next compete in the WTA 125 tournaments in Makarska and Modena, ahead of the Billie Jean King Cup in San Marino and Wimbledon qualifying. No post-match comment from Jiménez Kasintseva was available at the time.
