Andorra to Invest €400K in Toni Martí Pavilion Floor Renovation

The Andorran government will invest up to €400,000 in renovating the Toni Martí pavilion, with priority given to replacing the wooden floor, Culture and Sports Minister Mònica Bonell has stated.

The announcement came during the unveiling of MoraBanc Andorra's latest signing, Kassius Robertson, at the Ordino Training Centre. Bonell described the parquet replacement as "very necessary" for the sport and confirmed the work will occur when the season allows, specifically after it ends in summer 2027. The project, which opts for a fixed sports surface rather than a removable multi-purpose one, still needs Consell General approval. The exact cost will be determined following the tender process.

Bonell stressed the pavilion's focus as a dedicated venue for elite teams like MoraBanc Andorra, which competes in top leagues. She noted that annual investments improve facilities incrementally, as budgets permit, and suggested multi-use spaces could be addressed separately in future projects. Recent upgrades include a new lighting system last season and external works with Andorra la Vella commune near the National Stadium.

MoraBanc Andorra president Gorka Aixàs praised the government's commitment, including a €1.15 million subsidy to the club. He highlighted the team's "privileged" setup, which supports quality training and matches. "We are in a totally privileged place and very happy to work in these conditions," Aixàs said.
