Gerard de la Casa claimed the Group 4 touring car title in the Andorran Mountain Automobile Championship (CAAM), finishing with 34 points ahead of Erik Faura's runner-up total of 27.
The Andorran driver, racing a Ford Fiesta for Baporo Motorsport, delivered a dominant season in the category and secured third place overall in the CAAM standings with 91 points. He trailed only champion Jordi Vilardell on 104 points and runner-up Joan Gil with 101.
Faura, also with Baporo Motorsport in a Cupra, took second in Group 4 after a third-place class finish at the season finale, the Pujada a Beixalís hillclimb. Marc Mateo rounded out the category podium in third with 24 points driving a BMW 325i.
The 2.8km event between Anyós and Vila capped a competitive campaign. De la Casa stood out as the touring car benchmark, with Faura facing pressure from rivals including TCR Europe and world champion Mikel Azcona and the Le Potier brothers in Porsches. Faura improved from practice to post competitive scored-run times near the quickest single-seaters.
In touring cars, only De la Casa and Azcona outperformed him. Faura's combined third- and fourth-run time of 3:28.790 placed him sixth overall at the event, behind outright winner Joan Gil in a Silver Car (3:11.880), Azcona's Hyundai TCR (3:17.850) and De la Casa (3:18.220).
Faura's steady results elevated him to eighth in the absolute CAAM table with 57 points.
