Encamp's second CorreCanins dog race attracted a record 71 teams on Saturday, combining mountain and urban runs with family activities and fundraising for GosSOS d'Andorra, the group dedicated to dog protection, sheltering, and responsible adoptions.

Held at Plaça dels Arínsols, the event featured three distances—3km, 7.5km, and 12.5km—all starting and ending at the plaza, which doubled as a base for workshops, stands in a village area, and other attractions. Organizers added the longest route this year, a change that drew praise from Encamp sports councillor Nino Marot. He highlighted the entry surge from last year and the strong response to the new option, calling the day suitable for families, pet owners, and the wider public interested in sport and animal welfare.

In the flagship 12.5km race, Patricio Cayo and Atila won the men's category in 1:23:31, while Maria Antonia Terrasa and Lola claimed the women's title in 1:33:52.

Loïc Garaud and Mulan took the men's 7.5km in 49:51, with Emma Soto and Boira leading women at 53:34.

The 3km urban sprint went to Aitor Lizama and Totoro among men in 8:45, and Mía Antor and Xapa topped the women's field in 8:40.

Marot presented awards with councillors Sabrina Grégoire and Marta Pujol. Highlights included an agility workshop by Kissos and a demonstration from Andorra's police canine unit.

The commune of Encamp supported the cause by donating €2 per entry to GosSOS, reinforcing efforts around animal care and adoption.
