Saturday’s opening session focused on cadet and senior categories, with bouts running from 2:30pm to 8:30pm. Sunday’s schedule shifted to younger athletes in the base categories, from 8:30am to 2:30pm.
Competitors hailed from Spain—including the Balearic Islands, Aragon, Navarre, Catalonia, Valencia, and Madrid—as well as France, Italy, Portugal, and Romania. The event offered Andorran judokas a strong home advantage against high-level international opposition.
