The Andorran Olympic Committee (COA) took part in the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG) Extraordinary Assembly held in Portimão and Alvor, Portugal, on 28–29 November. A COA delegation was led by president Xavier Espot Miró, who attended the official working sessions and held meetings with other representatives of the Mediterranean Olympic movement.
The assembly programme included meetings of the ICMG Executive Committee, an official opening ceremony and presentations on the progress of the Mediterranean Beach Games Portimão & Lagoa 2027. Delegates also reviewed preparations for the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, scheduled for August–September 2026, examining competition calendars, venues and organisational challenges.
Organisers reported advances in infrastructure, logistics and sports planning for the upcoming events and set out the ICMG’s strategic priorities for the coming years.
